Technical Writer

Engineering Division · Ireland, UK, or France (remote working)

 

42Crunch is looking for a highly motivated Technical Writer to join its growing Engineering Team.

 

 

Responsibilities:

• Create, update, and maintain product and API documentation for an API security SaaS product.
• Collaborate with the rest of the engineering team to provide end-users with guidance as and when needed, both outside and within the product itself.
• Work with the Customer Success team to help resolve issues that end users encounter and include lessons learned in documentation.
• Contribute with Marketing to provide script and storyboard tutorial videos for the product.
• Help ensure that the company maintains a unified voice and communicates consistently.

 

 

Skills & Requirements:

Required:

• At least 3 years of experience on writing user guidance.
• Strong communication skills (both verbally and in writing) with a native-like fluency in English.
• Strong experience on single-sourcing and content reuse.
• Experience in producing documentation as part of a documentation team working on the same source.
• Great time management and self-organising skills.
• Keen interest in new learning acquisition.
• Occasional travel to other 42Crunch offices.

 

Desired:

• Relevant college or university degree (for example, Technical Communication, English, Software Engineering)
• Previous experience of highly technical products and API documentation.
• Experience with MadCap Flare, XML/XHTML, and CSS.
• Experience with version control using Git.
• Experience with working with distributed teams.
• Ability and willingness to think outside the box.

 

Distinct advantage:

• Experience with Docker, cURL, Postman.
• Experience with terminology work.
